Call of Duty: Legends of War is out now on Android

After constant leaks from the different closed beta phases held in Asian countries, we finally have the chance to try out the long-awaited Call of Duty: Legends of War for ourselves. It’s the newest installment in the saga, exclusively for mobile devices that’s been developed by Tencent (specifically their TiMi studio, creators of one of the two existing PUBG Mobile games) under the sponsorship of Activision.

For the time being, it’s a soft-launch that’s only been released in Australia, but there are no geographic restrictions, so you can play it on your device no matter where you’re located.  What it is is a preliminary beta that doesn’t offer all the features included in a final version but lets users play the main game modes on maps taken directly from the classic installments of Modern Warfare and Black Ops. For now, you can play the maps Standoff, Nuketown, Hijacked, and Killhouse. The multiplayer modes currently available are:

• Frontline: You have to kill as many players from the enemy team as possible. The first team to reach the top score wins. You’ll constantly respawn in the starting point of your base. (6 to 10 players)
• Team Deathmatch: Just like Frontline, except with no respawn, so the winning team is the last one standing. (6 to 10 players)
• Search & Destroy: Defend or attack a strategic objective without respawning. (6 to 10 players)
• Free-for-All: Basically, it’s an individual deathmatch. The last player standing wins. (4 to 8 players)

The classic game modes are accompanied by the one-player Zombie Mode where you can participate in nine missions and can get different rewards. Plus, the Operations mode presents you with three missions to complete in a row (in three different difficulty levels) in the Zombie mode with the possibility to play in teams of four players. 

As we’ve mentioned, the game is currently in a tester phase so many options aren’t available, like the clan creation (although you can add friends) and the IAP store still isn’t up and running. Also, the Facebook login option isn’t available (unless you use a VPN) so your progress will only be saved locally.
