PUBG Mobile, the successful free battle royale from Tencent, has been updated with version 2.6, bringing many new features— improvements, settings, objects, devices, battle pass… But without a doubt, one of the most interesting things in the latest version is that dinosaurs that we can tame and ride in battle have been included. Want to know how? We tell you about it below.

Dinosaurs, the big new feature of PUBG Mobile version 2.6

The big new addition to PUBG Mobile is the Dinoground, a new settlement with dinosaurs available on the Erangel and Livik maps. But only for a limited time —until June 18—so if you are interested in prehistoric battles, don’t waste your time.

In the new themed area —90×90— we will be able to find many supplies and a T. Rex that we can ride together with our companions. This impressive dinosaur will appear randomly in the Fossil Keep, and we can ride it as soon as it runs away.

In addition, PUBG Mobile has also included a new small themed area— Primal Zone. In it, we will find many themed regions in which creatures such as Pterosaurs and Velociraptors inhabit. When facing these dinosaurs —if we defeat them, of course—we can tame and ride them. We can then use them in combat or participate in special mini-games.

Which dinosaurs can be ridden in PUBG Mobile?

Throughout the Primal Zone, we will be able to find dinosaurs that we can ride after defeating them. Each specializes in a different type of combat that will have its own advantages in battle. PUBG Mobile dinosaurs are as follows:

  • T. Rex: It appears randomly and can carry four people —one driver and three passengers—. It can roar for damage —for eight seconds— and run at maximum speed —for 10 seconds—.
  • Velociraptor: Expert in ground-type attacks, so it fights on the surface. It can only carry one player, has a great ability to cross terrain, and is well-adapted to ravines, long-distance jumps…
  • Pterosaur: Expert in aerial attacks, as it can shoot from the air. It is also individual. That is, it can only transport one passenger. It can swoop down from the air and grab both allies and enemies.

Other new features that the PUBG Mobile 2.6 update

In addition to dinosaurs, PUBG Mobile has also incorporated new features in its 2.6 version. For example, the World of Wonder mode has received a new platforming obstacle course template. A new type of full-auto firing mode for M16A4 and Mk47 weapons has also been added, as well as new objects in PUBG Mobile GO —trampolines, launchers, conveyor and boost belts, moving objects…—.

In Classic Mode, there are also some new features, such as the possibility of becoming a companion when we enter Spectating Mode after being eliminated in a game —being able to run, jump, swim, and perform Companion Emotes—. Of course, there are also new Legendary rewards and general tweaks that make the game run better on all devices.
