Battle Prime is looking more and more likely to become the hottest game of the moment. This title from Press Fire Games is a frenetic third-person shooter where you’ll face the opposing team on a small map in different game modes. Thus, the game follows the classic conventions of popular online games but kicks it up a notch by presenting it differently with its incredibly powerful graphics.

In this article, we’re going to break down exactly what makes Battle Prime so interesting while also taking a closer look at its possible shortcomings.

Battle Prime: the hot new battle arena

Throughout ten different maps, you’re going to go head-to-head against your rivals in six game modes that are typical of these types of video games:

  • Domination: just like in CoD Mobile, you’ll have to control some zones and prevent the enemy from taking them over.
  • Sniper Arena: here, five snipers face five others and must eliminate each other in a team deathmatch to win.
  • Harvest: you’ll have to eliminate the enemies and collect a liquid they release. The team that gets the most liquid wins.
  • Team Deathmatch: this is the classic team deathmatch mode.
  • Control: like in Battlefield, this mode consists of controlling points on the map, except they appear completely randomly.
  • Skirmish: capture the flag or defeat the enemy in 3vs3 duels. There’s no respawn feature here.

The game also has several characters, each with a special ability, which you can improve to increase their performance in battle. Both the characters and the improvements are unlocked as you make progress in the battle pass and according to your own level in the game. Some characters are temporary and become locked over time, while others are always available.

You’ll start with a character with a tactical grenade as a skill and end up unlocking unique heroes with much more powerful abilities, capable of jumping long distances and injuring enemies on landing or using radiation to damage them.

There’s also a wide arsenal of weapons to equip each hero. Plus, each gun is fully customizable, so you can add scopes and other features to match your preferred play style.

When it comes to the battles, you can play the game in either first or third-person perspective. Although the third-person option is activated by default, if you’re looking for an experience similar to CoD Mobile, you’ll probably want to choose the first-person mode.

The game constantly expands its content each season, making it absolutely endless and impossible to finish. This, far from being a setback, is a huge plus for players who want to satisfy their urge to complete challenges in this staggering title.

Graphics: one of Battle Prime’s biggest strengths

Battle Prime incorporates the most powerful graphics it possibly can, within its limits as a title made for phones. The experience is enhanced thanks to its powerful lighting system and well-done physics thanks to the use of NVIDIA’s PhysX. The game tries to exploit its graphics to the fullest using powerful images and detailed characters that allow Press Fire Games’ work to shine.

The game is eye-catching in an oversaturated market where graphics quality is often questionable. This is partly due to the effort to make games work on any smartphone. However, Battle Prime is incredibly well-optimized, and the game has been tested with older mid-range and high-end phones, and on both, it’s worked perfectly in “Very High.” However, you can configure the graphics quite extensively, so if your phone is really old, you can limit some aspects in order to increase the frames per second.

Battle Prime coins: BattleCoin and PrimeCoin

The objective of the game is to progress and unlock items over the course of several seasons. Thus, there are two modes: the free version with a capped battle pass and the “Elite” version, which you have to pay for and offers many more interesting things to unlock.

In this title, getting the game coins for free is difficult. Sure, you’ll get the first one by advancing in the battle pass and completing missions the game tells you to complete. However, the PrimeCoin is really hard to get for free since it can only be won for free on the game’s roulette wheels.

These coins are essential to advance in the game. They’re used to buy items, but they also allow you to get some improvements that make a huge difference on the battlefield. The game also has a monthly paid subscription service that will enable you to unlock items more quickly.

Battle Prime: comparison with the most relevant mobile shooters

Battle Prime is a title that’s clearly inspired by the main mobile shooters on the market. However, thanks to its powerful graphics, it’s capable of completely setting itself apart from these titles and allowing its visuals to speak for themselves. As for the gameplay, the game it’s closest to is Call of Duty Mobile. Although CoD is a first-person shooter and Battle Prime is in the third person, you can activate the first-person mode to enjoy a much more immersive experience.

As for PUBG Mobile and Free Fire, these two are from a totally different genre. After all, they’re both battle royale titles, so it’s not exactly the same thing. Here you’ll find yourself on a much smaller map where your squad of five players has to go up against the opponent’s squad. So it’s more like a competitive battle arena.

However, in terms of structure, it has more or less the same aspects as all these games. You’ll also have a battle pass which lets you unlock new cosmetic items and improvements for your character.
