Despite being around for many, many years, the Star Wars universe is stronger than ever. Both the movies that Disney has been putting out and, more recently, the new Star Wars series have managed to keep one of the most famous science fiction universes alive. And, of course, we can’t forget its countless video game adaptations.

Specifically, you can find an incredible variety of Star Wars games on Android. There are all sorts of different games to choose from. But to help save you the effort of spending hours searching and trying out endless games of questionable quality, we’ve done the legwork for you. So here you have it: our list of the best Star Wars games for Android in 2023.

The best Star Wars games available right now

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes

Galaxy of Heroes might be the most up-to-date Star Wars game for phones. Even though it’s been around for years, this tactical RPG is still regularly updated, keeping its millions of players coming back for more every week.

Galaxy of Heroes offers tactical turn-based combat where you can choose to be either on the dark side or the light side to continue making progress. Improve your team, your characters, and, most importantly, your combat tactics to advance in this galactic adventure, hands-down, one of the best free-to-play Star Wars adaptations available on any platform.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens

There’s no need for introductions when it comes to LEGO Star Wars. This video game saga has been around for over a decade, bringing high-quality games to countless platforms. Smartphones are no exception: on Android, you can find excellent games like LEGO Star Wars Yoda II and LEGO Star Wars Microfighters.

However, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens takes the cake as the best of the saga for phones. Based on the movie The Force Awakens, this complete video game allows players to relive Rey’s adventures with that touch of humor that LEGO is known for. It’s a fun game with great graphics and a good control system. In short, it’s absolutely a worthwhile game.

Star Wars: Starfighter Missions

What would Star Wars be without exhilarating spaceship battles? These ships, their chases, and fast-paced battles are one of the most recognizable elements of George Lucas’ universe. And here’s a mobile title based on driving spaceships that’s as interesting as fun. It’s called Star Wars: Starfighter Missions.

Instead of aiming for a realistic spaceship driving experience, Starfighter Missions offers an arcade style based on the classic shoot ’em ups. Here you’ll move your ship around a 2D setting, facing off against enemy ships as they appear. In addition to this classic gameplay, the game has an interesting storyline and spectacular backdrops to offer a really fun overall experience.

LEGO Star Wars Battles

Here’s another title from the LEGO Star Wars saga, but, in this case, you’ll find a very different experience. Instead of the classic action adventures we’ve all played at some point, LEGO Star Wars Battles offers tactical PvP combat in real-time in the purest Clash Royale style.

You can join either the dark or the light side and use all the available units to crush your enemies in intense strategic battles in real-time. You’ll tip the scales in battle with heroes like Darth Vader or Han Solo and enjoy what’s possibly the ultimate Star Wars tactical experience in the world of video games. And you get all this with the care and light-hearted artistic style of LEGO Star Wars.

Star Wars: Tiny Death Star

Tiny Death Star is one of the oldest games on this list, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less great than the rest. In fact, Tiny Death Star is one of our personal favorites and one of the most addictive games that you’ll find among all the Star Wars games for smartphones.

Tiny Death Star is a strategy and management game that puts you behind the controls of your very own miniature Death Star. You’ll need to balance the different resources and needs as you expand and grow your Death Star until you can turn it into a lethal space station capable of blowing up an entire planet in a matter of seconds.

Special mention – Star Wars: Hunters

Although it’s still only available as a small beta, Star Wars: Hunters is already one of those games we can’t forget. Scheduled to come out in 2023, it’s one of the most highly-anticipated mobile titles of the year and the next big Star Wars title.

Star Wars: Hunters plans on winning the hearts of players around the world with this shooter based on different heroes with their own abilities (sort of like Overwatch). For now, we don’t have too many details, but the quality it promises, along with its enormous cast of characters loaded with a variety of personalities, make this a title we want to keep our eyes on.
