Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds offers such a deep MMORPG experience that sometimes it is easy to lose oneself among all its options, missions and possibilities. Moreover, being a free-to-play game, several obstacles will make your progress difficult unless you’re open to pay. Yet, Netmarble and Level-5 have established enough alternatives to level up fast and for free, and to that end, here’re five key tips:
Take on the main and the reputation missions
This may seem obvious, but the desire to level up in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds can lead you to leave aside the game’s main mission. This is a big mistake, since just by following the goals marked in it you can easily reach level 38. It is not recommended, however, to neglect the Reputation quest, since nowadays it’s the kind of mission that provides the most experience while allowing to advance in the story. Keep in mind that when selecting a mission, you can see how much experience you can get as a reward.
Complete express errands for daily activities
Aside from the main mission, there are other activities that can provide lots of experience: express errands. We highlight these missions for several reasons, but mainly because they can be overlooked in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds’s menu. To access them, you will have to navigate to the three white stripes at the top right, tap on them to display the options menu, select “Missions” and then “Daily action”.
Once the new screen shows, you will be able to perform an errand by selecting one and choosing “Go now”. These are easy and short missions, with a good experience score as rewards, though only five can be performed per day. Note that you can pay gold to restart the errands if the ones that appear do not offer good rewards.
Don’t forget to claim the experience
Another tip that may sound obvious but isn’t: many activities and achievements will grant you experience points as rewards— that is, they won’t be automatically added to your level meter, but rather you’ll have to claim them in the menu options.
For instance, if you access “Achievements” under “Records”, you may discover a good amount of experience you have gained throughout the game without even realizing it. Many of these rewards, such as those obtained from the achievements, are shared among all characters within the same account, so you must decide with which character you want to claim the experience.
Join a kingdom
Once you’ve progressed through the story and have completed the Reputation quest called “Survivors of the Nameless Kingdom” in Evermore, you will be able to join a kingdom. This is very useful to level up fast, since you will get temporary upgrades (also called “buffs”) and surround yourself with other players you can go with to gain experience by performing joint missions.
Moreover, in the “Kingdom General Store”, you can purchase over 57,000 experience points daily in exchange for a few gold coins—a very profitable trade that you should not forget to make every day. If you need more gold, remember that you can use free reward codes.
How to farm properly
At some point, Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds will make it very difficult to keep leveling up for free, but even if you don’t want to pay, there are ways to continue gaining experience (even if it’s slower than going through the cashier). When you reach level 40 or so, it is advisable to regularly visit the Chaos Field, a very suitable place to farm (i.e., repeatedly kill as many enemies as possible to score experience points) either manually or with the AI mode, which allows you to do it automatically.
Before you start fighting, don’t forget to consume an energy drink, as it will multiply your stats and allow you to farm much faster. So, do not waste them before reaching this area!
