Microsoft continues to promote its revamped email service, this time by making it available on other platforms. For a few days now the official Outlook.com application has been available for Android mobile devices.
The app has push notifications, the ability to use several accounts, and it syncs your calendars and contacts. The only drawbacks at the moment are the design (not very unique, honestly) and that currently it is only available in English, which has provoked many reviewers to anger in Google Play, where it has a 2-star average with 900 reviews.
The next logical step for Microsoft is to jump to iOS, that is if they actually hope to stand up to Gmail, which has had the advantage over Microsoft for quite some time.
