The custom playlists on Spotify are, hands-down, one of the best ways to discover new music in the music streaming app. But it’s not the only way. Scala is the new app that lets you find new music in a different way than you’re used to: by swiping on the screen, Tinder-style, to quickly discover new music you love.

It’s always nice to discover new music and thanks to Scala, you can do so using a method that’s becoming more and more popular in apps. The “Tinder method” of swiping left or right on the screen works great here, although you can also use the icons found at the bottom of the screen for the same effect. Songs, songs, and more songs will appear in your feed, letting you choose if you want recommendations based on your Spotify profile or genres of your choice.

In addition to swiping side to side, you can also swipe up to add a song to your favorites. Although it’s also possible to create customized lists on Scala with the songs you want, and then export these playlists to Spotify easily. You can edit these playlists however you like in Scala, deleting or adding songs as you please.

You also have the possibility to share your discoveries on your social networks, a feature that’s always appreciated. Not only does Scala let you discover new songs – it also lets you do so as intuitively as possible.
