Following the introduction of the new camera mode for Instagram, we’re now presented with the possibility to upload multiple photos and videos simultaneously to our Stories. It’s a new feature that may not be super noteworthy, but it will make our Instagram lives slightly easier. After all, Instagram Stories have become one of the most important focal points of the internet and any tiny improvement in the way they work is always welcome.
Sometimes we wonder if Instagram Stories are swallowing up Instagram. We’re seeing more and more updates aimed at improving this features and its use is becoming much more frequent than the traditional posts. Hence, the construction of a good narrative in our Stories lets us create even higher-quality content. It doesn’t matter if this is even your aim, or if you simply want to share what you were doing last night, the new feature in Instagram Stories is perfect in either case.
You can now upload up to 10 photos or videos simultaneously. It’s as simple as opening your gallery to post the way you normally would and tapping the new icon you see in the upper right corner of the screen. Then, all you have to do is choose the photos or videos you want with a few more taps of the screen. When you get to the editing screen, you can make all the changes you want to each one of your Stories: add stickers, text, GIFs…the usual. If you’re happy with the results, then all you have to do is post them and they’ll appear in the order you’ve chosen.
This new feature comes hand in hand with Instagram’s improved ability to find a location nearby to where you took the photo. It doesn’t matter if you took the picture a few days ago, since the location sticker will tell you the location or places close to where you where when the photo was taken.
