Needless to say, Facebook Messenger is becoming an instant messaging tool that the social network never imagined it might be. The best thing that could be done was to turn it into an app independent from the original Facebook client. And now its latest addition is the ability to make changes to images you’re going to send with a small built-in image editor.
When you’re chatting with a friend and want to send a photo, you just have to click the corresponding icon and your camera roll will appear in the lower part of the screen where you can choose your desired image. When you do, two icons will appear, one to upload the image in question and another to edit it, with new options to superimpose text or draw with a finger on the screen in different colors.
In recent months Facebook Messenger has become a tool to rival the biggest heavyweights in its sphere. First the complete redesign of version 5.0 and the arrival of groups and voice calls between contacts, and now this new addition. A few months ago we’d already pointed out its enormous growth, placing it fifth among the most downloaded instant messaging services on Uptodown at the global level.
