Just a month ago, Facebook added Poke-like voice messaging to its chat application, Facebook Messenger. And, Mark Zuckerberg’s company keep revolutionizing the instant messaging arena. Now, the successful social network is launching VoIP calls for its main iOS app, which can also be used on the web, and even from mobile connections.

Facebook llamadas de voz

This new feature will easily compete on the market with free voice calling services such as Skype and Line, which are still fighting for their own popularity in hopes to having the most amount of users, even though these figures could never match up to the endless amount of registered users that Facebook has.

Although for now the free calling on iOS and on the web are being tested exclusively in the U.S. and Canada, it surely won’t be long before it extends its border to Europe, and beyond. Android users, however, will have to wait before they can enjoy the new features that Facebook is developing, which the latest version (2.2) doesn’t include.
