We tend to be fans of open source apps. Camera Roll belongs to this distinguished category and we couldn’t help ourselves – exploring it in detail was a must. What we discovered was an image gallery based on Material Design that offers all the typical features you’d expect from this type of app, but it also stands out thanks to a few outside-the-box features.
Thanks to Camera Roll, you can easily see all the Exif information about your photos and even edit it. Plus, you have the possibility to see all the directories hiding on your device. A perfect feature to get rid of a good amount of junk that’s built up in the bowels of your smartphone, and even discover a few unexpected surprises. Who knows?
Camera Roll has been hanging out on Android for a while now, but that doesn’t make it any less of an option to keep in mind. It’s an app that improves on the features offered by the many galleries that come installed on our devices by default. Not only for the features mentioned above, but also for its fluidity, its many customization options, and how little space it takes up. It may not be quite as lightweight as Focus Go, but Camera Roll definitely wins out in terms of possibilities.
