VALORANT Mobile is probably one of the most highly-anticipated releases of 2023. What is VALORANT Mobile?
VALORANT Mobile basically takes the experience of the popular FPS shooter from Riot Games and transfers it to smartphones. In it, players participate in 5v5 battles. Therefore, it’s a hero shooter with very specific characteristics, as it draws influence from the company’s other works, such as League of Legends and Legends of Runeterra.
The first team to win 13 rounds is the winner. The most typical game mode is the bomb planting mode; one that’s exactly the same as what we’ve seen in other titles from the genre, like Counter Strike Global Offensive. The map designs and even the colors and settings are reminiscent of the most iconic versions of Counter strike, with certain similarities to de_Dust2.
The main difference between the two games is that in VALORANT you’ll use a hero with specific characteristics, while in the title from Valve, you either play a terrorist or a police officer from an anti-terrorism brigade. The exact release date of VALORANT Mobile is still unknown, but it is speculated that it could be launched in time to celebrate the third anniversary of the shooter’s desktop version. If that’s the case, Riot Games could be planning its release for the beginning of the second half of 2023, specifically for June.
However, nothing is known about open or closed betas, so it is possible that the game’s release will be delayed. Although it is known that it has already been tested by some players in very closed groups.
How much will VALORANT Mobile cost?
The action-packed shooter will be released completely free of charge for all users with a compatible Android or iOS device. Just like the desktop title, Riot Games always advocates for free-to-play games whose economic profit lies in selling skins and other secondary items that do not provide any advantage to players.
