One of the things that makes Chimeraland so popular is its pet system. The free role-playing game from Tencent and Level Infinite features a number of animals, creatures and companions that can make this adventure easier thanks to their combat and exploring skills. Do you want to have your own pet in Chimeraland? Here’s everything you need to know about them, from how to get them to what to do when they die.

What is Chimeraland?

Chimeraland is a huge open-world role-playing game with massive online multiplayer, known as an MMORPG. Moreover, it is free and designed for smartphones.

You’ll get into this adventure by creating a completely customized character with its versatile avatar editor, which allows you to choose from a huge variety of races and tweak every last detail. Once your hero has been chosen, you will explore the land, sea and air, fighting against enemies and mythological beasts, building fortresses and collecting materials to craft weapons. All this while you level up both your character and your pets.

Brief introduction to Chimeraland’s pets

In Chimeraland, you can have your own pet, animal or fantastic creature that will accompany you, help you in combat and serve as a means of transport. There are several types, each with its own characteristics and benefits, but they all share certain features, such as the fact that they can help you fight or be upgraded and customized as you gain experience.

Pet types

As said, not all Chimeraland pets are the same. There are two main types, mounts and assistants, and both have their peculiarities:

  • Mounts: these are pets that you can ride on to ride, fly or swim.
  • Assistants: these are pets that cannot be mounted, but can be equipped with weapons and armor to help you in combat.

How to get pets in Chimeraland

The way to get new pets also varies depending on the type of them. For example, mounts are usually obtained through eggs given to you by strangers, randomly encountered or bought at the auction house. Some of the creatures that hatch from eggs may go through an evolutionary process in which you will have to give them the right pills.

Unlike mounts, assistants have to be recruited from the pet menu or by talking directly to them. Usually, they will ask you for some kind of item that you will have to give them to join you, although there are also some assistants that are recruited through missions or by feeding them. In the menu, you will be able to see their attributes before recruiting them, such as, for example, their strength or health.

How to improve pets in Chimeraland

Your Chimeraland pets can be evolved and leveled up just like the main character you control, although the way to do so depends on the type of pet. Mounts are leveled up by feeding them or when they kill other enemy monsters, the same as with assistants. Moreover, both have eight skill slots that you can also manage to make them much more useful in combat. But the way to get skills varies: you can find out how to upgrade by following the in-game instructions.

What about when a pet dies in Chimeraland?

Chimeraland’s world is full of dangers, and it is quite common for pets to end up dying, just as you can do. Every time a pet dies in combat, it can resurrect, but there is a limited number of resurrections. What happens when they run out? Every time a pet dies, it will lose a point and if the counter reaches zero, you will have to buy Resurrection Pills to bring it back to life.
