After several weeks of rumors, Adobe has officially confirmed through its blog that they will remove Flash Player from mobile devices to focus on HTML5.
This fight between Adobe and Apple started when iPhone or iPad users could not access Flash content, while Apple refused to accept this programming language on its devices in defense of HTML5.
Adobe now recognizes that HTML5 has won this battle, as it is universally supported on most mobile devices, so they will continue to work on HTML, as Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Rim, in order to continue to innovate HTML5.
However, the company does not plan to abandon Flash altogether but will work in the fields of video games, where Flash is relatively popular because of the ease with which games can be developed— from the simplest to the most advanced. In addition, Flash will continue to exist for desktop web browsers (Windows, Mac, Linux) as before.
But following this news, it seems that Adobe will also forget about the Flash version for TVs.
