Dollify, the new popular app to create portraits of your avatar

Dollify is an app that lets you create a cartoon version of yourself. It includes a bunch of editing options to make sure your avatar looks as much like you as possible (or whoever you want it to look like). We’re talking about a super entertaining app that lets you create your own dolls and share them with your friends.

Dollify is perfect if you want to have a unique and customized avatar. You don’t have to upload one of your pictures, but you’ll have a portrait of you to use on games and apps. 

What’s Dollify and how does it work?

The first thing you’ll encounter is blank and you’ll have to tap on an icon to start a new task. You can choose whether you want to create a girl or a boy. Then, you’ll get a lot more options because Dollify includes a huge number of editing options. Unlike other similar apps that let you create a full-body avatar, you’ll only create a bust here. 

The rest of the options are really wide and varied, which lets you create an avatar that looks as much like you as possible. From the color of the skin and eyes to the shape of the eyebrows, eyelashes, hair, lips, facial hair and even freckles and moles. But that’s not all, you can also include accessories such as earrings and clothes. 

Customize as much as possible

The app was designed to make sure your avatar is as real as possible, so you’ll only find classic eye colors (nothing too out there like yellow eyes). As soon as you get to the hair section, you’ll find more options for colors and styles. You’ll also notice some features that are locked and only the premium users can access those. However, you can create your avatar perfectly well with the free features. You don’t actually have to pay for the premium version to have an avatar that looks like you.

After you pick the eye color and the shape of your brows, eyelashes, and hair, you can go on to pick the outfit. You’ll also find several locked options that are only available for premium users, but you also don’t need the premium version to dress your avatar or your friends’. You can add glasses, necklaces or earrings, to make it even more real.

The level of detail extends to the fact that you can even create your own moles, choose the position of your face, the size, the intensity of the color and even its shape. For those who have a mole that sets them apart, you can add it to your avatar on the exact same spot. 

Change the background 

Once you’re done editing your avatar, you can change the background and even apply a filter, just as if you had taken a picture with any other app. Add dog ears and psychedelic glasses to give your creation a final touch. As soon as you’re happy with your avatar’s look, all you have to do is name it and save it in your gallery. Then, you can show it off and start creating the rest of the family.  

The gender options don’t vary, the only difference is the facial options. In other words, the eyelashes are larger if you choose a female. The haircuts are also different as well as clothes and accessories. However, the resources are the same whether you’re creating a girl or a boy. 

Once you’re done with your avatar, you can download it, share it, edit it again or delete it. Keep in mind that the free version of the app ads a watermark on the lower left part of the portrait. 

Premium version

Dollify includes a premium version that you can access using the main screen of the app by tapping on the Get Premium version. It’s a one-time payment that costs $6.99. If you decide to pay for the premium version, you can unlock the rest of the Dollify features, as well as share your creations without having to worry about the watermark and save as many avatars as you want. The free version does include a limit. All these options are a resource, so keep in mind that take advantage of this app with the free version as well.
