The name Supercell should definitely sound familiar to anyone who loves playing mobile games. This world-famous developer is responsible for some of the most popular games of the last few years, including titles like Brawl Stars and Clash Royale, which are still going strong today. However, we’ve come here today to talk about their next big hit: Squad Busters.
What is Squad Busters, the next release from Supercell?
Squad Busters is the new title from Supercell, the creators of huge mobile games such as Brawl Stars and Clash Royale. This new project, which has already been in development for over two years, is coming in hot as the first big crossover between all of the studio’s franchises.
Beyond the fact that it’s going to include characters from a variety of Supercell games, there really aren’t any more details about the game that have been released yet. It’s not even clear what genre Supercell is going to venture into with Squad Busters. The first teaser makes it look like it might be a PvE game (i.e., where you play against AI rather than other players), but details are just too scarce at the moment to tell for sure.

However, we’ll probably know more about the game’s genre very soon since a closed beta will take place this month of February. Keep reading to find out more details.
When will Squad Busters be released?
For the time being, there’s no specific date or window for the release of Squad Busters. According to the game’s official website, developers announced, “Currently, we are in the early stage of game development.” This could mean that players may need to wait as long as until the year 2024 to give the game a try.
However, a few lucky players will be able to find out a lot more about the game and even try it out for themselves in just a few short days. Between February 6 and 16, 2023, a closed beta will be held, giving a select number of players a sneak peek at Squad Busters. The bad news is that the beta is currently being limited to users in Canada.
This closed beta, as explained, “is mainly designed to verify gameplay and all players’ progression will be reset.” Therefore, it’s very likely that, according to the feedback received in the test, the game will be updated and there will be more tests that, hopefully, will be increasingly open to the public leading up to its official release.
For now, there’s no other option but to be patient and stay tuned to see what Squad Busters is and how Supercell’s new game works.
Requirements to play Squad Busters
Unfortunately, the lack of information about Squad Busters also extends to the requirements that your phone must meet in order to run the game effectively—in other words, there’s currently no official information about it.
However, the teaser appears to show graphics that, even if it’s only in beta, don’t seem to be a big stretch from Clash Royale or Brawl Stars. So, considering the fact that Supercell is a studio with tremendously popular games, the requirements are not expected to be especially high and any current device should be able to run it without any problems.
Of course, we’ll be sure to update this section as soon as Supercell officially announces the requirements necessary to enjoy Squad Busters for sure.
