Recently, we’ve gone back to our roots by releasing the official Uptodown client for Windows 11. With this move, we aim to stay ahead of the ongoing evolution of the software industry, just as we did nearly 15 years ago when we added the Android platform to our catalog. The boundaries between mobile and desktop ecosystems are increasingly blurred, so we want to provide a flexible and convenient tool that integrates Uptodown into the daily lives of PC users.
Bring the full Uptodown experience to your desktop
Just as we offer a native Android client capable of analyzing, installing, and updating the apps on your device, we wanted to do the same for desktop platforms. Uptodown has offered a desktop software catalog since the very beginning, and it continues to grow every day. Bringing that experience to the PC environment was a natural step.
The official Uptodown client for Windows 11 works just like the web version, allowing you to access all the store’s core features as if you were browsing online. The real highlight is the top toolbar, where we’ve included a set of tools that combine the full potential of our store with Microsoft’s operating system.

Check and update your installed apps
From the Library dropdown menu, you can view a complete list of all software available on your PC, including both the installed version and the latest one available on Uptodown. This makes downloading updates for your programs and games much more intuitive and centralized.
All the essential features are still here, from our integrated search engine to account login and access to Uptodown’s social features (comments, feed, lists, etc.), along with category-based browsing throughout the store. But that’s not all: we’ve also added several Windows-native tools to make important actions more accessible. You can check for pending driver updates, review which applications launch at system startup, or access an installation history log to keep track of all previous changes.

Just the beginning
As we’ve done with our official Android app and our universal package installer, we’ll continue releasing periodic updates that include improvements, fixes, and new features based on your feedback. This first public release of Uptodown for Windows already includes everything needed to fulfill its purpose efficiently. Still, we’ll keep sharing news about upcoming features in the weeks ahead. We hope it becomes a valuable tool for you!
