Dash Quest from Tiny Titan Studios is a successful game for mobile devices that has you move though settings following endless runner gameplay but adapting the formula to the look and feel of the ARPGs that were typical on 16-bit consoles. Now, it’s time for its upcoming sequel, Dash Quest Heroes, which returns better and stronger than ever before. We could even go so far as to say that it’s a must-have for Android right out of the gate.

Dash Quest Heroes expands and improves upon its predecessor, maintaining the same gameplay automation. Your character automatically moves forward tirelessly through the setting, while you have the power to change between three different lanes, attack, defend yourself with your shield, or launch one of your special powers or abilities that you find along the way. The cool thing about it is with such few resources, it makes you feel like you’re playing a simplified version of classic games like The Legend of Zelda or any other similar game from the genre.

You can specialize you character as a warrior, mage, or rogue, with more than 200 abilities available for you to use throughout 50 different levels, where you’ll run into all sorts of enemies, including enormous bosses. To throw some variety into the mix, you can complete missions as they’re presented to you to help you level up and improve your equipment, whether through pure and simple crafting, or buying it in the stores that you come across.

As you advance in the game you’ll find forests brimming with goblins or creatures of the night, villages where you can rest, enormous castles packed with obstacles, and several other clichés from the genre designed in adorable 2D pixelated graphics that could easily pass for any JRPG from Super Nintendo. There’s really no good reason not to give Dash Quest Heroes a try.
