A few days ago we talked here about SnapTube, a useful Android app to download videos hosted on sites like YouTube, Vimeo, and LiveLeak or posted on social networks like Facebook and Instagram. Its creators have entrusted Uptodown to be the official download source for SnapTube, which means we can now present you with an exclusive new version (3.0) that, among other things, lets you download videos in 1080p and include your own webpages amongst those to download videos from.

The first new thing you’ll see when you open it is the new home screen on the Video Sites section, which gives you a mosaic of all the places you can download videos from. By default these include YouTube, Vimeo, whatsappdaily, Instagram, Facebook, LiveLeak, Funny or Die, Metacafe, Metatube, Vine, Songs Lelo, and Vuclip. That said, at the bottom right you’ll find the option to add any other video-hosting page to the mosaic. Although we can’t assure you 100% that it will detect and download videos from every site you browse, the few we’ve tested here have worked perfectly.

The other great feature of version 3.0 is the possibility to download videos at 1080p, on top of the other export formats that it already included. In fact, a category has been created in the browsing section for YouTube that lets you browse videos that can be viewed in FullHD.
